it's complicated

we went to see the new meryl streep, alec baldwin, steve martin movie "it's complicated" this week. the movie was a tad slow at first, but we ended up really loving it.

my jaw dropped when they showed the scenes of meryl's santa barbara house and especially her french potager garden. i was ready to pack my bags and move in. the potager looked like a near impossible feat in vegetable gardening (those tomatoes, those cabbages!), so i was a little relieved to read that the tomatoes were actually wired onto the vines and the greens were hothouse grown. so don't feel bad if your vegetable garden is not as impeccable as meryl's yet, it sure is inspiring none the less!

if you love the look too, remodelista also has a great article on how to recreate this feeling at home and everything gardens would love to help design your dream potager :)
