there were lovely persimmons trees on the property that i walked yesterday for a new project.
the project is a beautiful mid-century residence designed by cliff may (the father of the ranch house) on a quarter acre overlooking the southbay. the hillsides are covered by fruit trees and dripping with possibility. i'm looking forward to doing a major clean-up in the landscape...using plants that highlight the original intent of the structure and it's beautifully designed indoor-outdoor relationship. right now it's overgrown and lacking identity. it's going to be a really fun process, so i'll post project photos as we progress.

pretty planted pots from our plant buying trip in santa barbara today. steph got scared by that plastic snake more than once.
the weather was perfect and we brought lots of beauties home with us for a few projects that we are working on this week. we stopped at the world famous la super rica taqueria for dinner and ate tamales and horchata. yum.
